MARATHON
Take on the ultimate challenge with our multi-terrain marathon, a truly unforgettable journey across some of the most breathtaking scenery the region has to offer. Starting and finishing on the historic Holy Island, the course leads you across to Spittal and back, combining coastal paths, quiet lanes, and stunning sea views. With places capped at just 100, this is an exclusive event designed for runners aged 18+ who want to push their limits in a unique and inspiring setting. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or simply determined to cross the finish line, this marathon promises an experience like no other.
HALF MARATHON
Our half marathon delivers the same spectacular landscapes in a slightly shorter but no less rewarding format. Open to runners aged 17+, the race begins in the seaside town of Spittal before winding its way to a spectacular finish on Holy Island. With stunning coastal views and a supportive atmosphere, this event is perfect for both seasoned runners and those tackling their first half marathon. Limited to 500 entries, it’s your chance to be part of a truly memorable race day — an adventure filled with endurance, scenery, and achievement.

Entry is available now using our online entry portal. Everything is included within your entry fee, there are no additional payments or 'add-ons'. Minimum age for entry is 17 years of age.

Bib Pack Collection
ON THE DAY: Bib pack collection (half marathon) will be available from 7.30am at the start point in Spittal. Bib packs will include a race number which must be worn during the event and a chip timing tag to record your performance.
SATURDAY COLLECTION: You can also collect your bib pack (half marathon) the day before the events. Our pop-up gazebo will be located * * * and will be open between * * *.

MARATHON RUNNERS: Your bib pack will be posted to you before the day (7-10 days).
Tides
The safe crossing times for the causeway to Holy Island is 8.40am until 3.30pm. Outside of these times the road will be flooded. The time limit for the event is 6 hours (marathon), 4 hours (half marathon).
Transport to the start for Half Runners
Here’s how it works: Park at the finish on Holy Island, jump on the coach to Spittal (the start), run the race, and your car will be waiting for you at the end.
• Ticket price: £6.50 (book when you enter)
• Coach leaves Holy Island at 9.45am.
• You can only drive onto Holy Island after 8.40am (because of the tides).
• The coach is before the race only – there is no bus after you finish.
Aid Stations
Hydration is available at 3 mile intervals approximately. First aid is also available at these locations as well as at the finish on Holy Island.
