Start beside Blackpool Tower and follow the coastal way to Lancaster Castle. Cross the estuary from Fleetwood to Knott End by ferry, staying with your allocated start group for the crossing.

On the day Check-In
Collect your bib number and tracker on event day and complete the mandatory kit check. Follow your final race instructions for your allocated check-in and start times.

Checkpoints
There are 3 checkpoints, each will have water and cordial, and a selection of supplementary snacks. Full information on each checkpoint and facilities is sent to registered participants shortly before the event.
Start & Ferry Crossing
Runners leave in allocated start groups and must remain with their assigned group at the Fleetwood ferry. Your allocated start group and time cannot be changed. Follow your final race instructions for the crossing arrangements.
Transport
Return transport back to the start in Blackpool is available. This is charged at £7 (runners only) and can be purchased when registering for the event. Transport times are approximately 3.30pm and 6pm (subject to on the day conditions).
Cut-Off Times & Safety
The maximum time permitted for completion is 8 hours.
Although largely a trail, due to the nature of the event, you will be passing through some urban areas and there are inevitably some road crossings where it will be necessary to slow and possibly stop.
As always, if you see a runner experiencing difficulties please offer assistance where possible and inform Checkpoint Marshals/Race HQ. Contact details are prnted on your bib number.
