1. Eligibility
1.1 Participants in the 10k event must be a minimum of 15 years old on the day of the event.
1.2 Participants in all other distances must be a minimum of 17 years old on the day of the event.
1.3 All participants must be in suitable physical condition for trail running and accept the inherent risks involved in this type of event.
2. Registration and Entry Requirements
2.1 All participants must register before the event and provide accurate personal and emergency contact details.
2.2 Registration is only confirmed upon receipt of payment of the entry fee.
2.3 Entry fees are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by Lancashire Trails.
3. Mandatory Kit
3.1 Some events may require a mandatory kit due to safety considerations. The required kit list will be specified in the event information.
3.2 All mandatory kit items must be presented for inspection at registration.
3.3 Mandatory kit items must be worn or carried by participants for the entire duration of the event. Participants found not carrying the required kit during the event may be disqualified.
4. Health and Safety
4.1 Participants must disclose any relevant medical conditions during registration.
4.2 If a participant feels unwell during the event, they must stop and seek assistance from event officials or the medical team.
4.3 For the safety of all participants, headphones or other audio devices may not be permitted during certain sections of the trail or as otherwise stated.
5. Event Rules
5.1 Participants must follow the designated route as directed by event signage and marshals.
5.2 Participants must respect the natural environment and refrain from littering.
5.3 Aggressive behavior or unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification.
6. Disqualification
6.1 Lancashire Trails reserves the right to disqualify any participant who fails to adhere to these terms and conditions, including failure to carry the mandatory kit, unsportsmanlike behavior, or non-compliance with age restrictions.
7. Waiver and Release of Liability
7.1 By registering for this event, participants acknowledge and accept the risks associated with trail running, including injury, illness, and adverse weather conditions.
7.2 Participants agree not to hold Lancashire Trails, its staff, or event sponsors liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during the event.
8. Changes and Cancellations
8.1 Lancashire Trails reserves the right to modify the event route, start times, or kit requirements if necessary.
8.2 If the event is canceled due to circumstances beyond the control of Lancashire Trails, entry fees may be deferred to a future event or partially refunded, at the discretion of Lancashire Trails.
9. Deferrals and Transfers
Trail event deferrals and transfers to another runner cost £10 per entry. Requests must be completed no later than one week (7 days) before event day.
You may defer your entry to the following year’s event or transfer your place to another runner. Requests after the deadline cannot be accepted.
